Introduction to Feng Shui Lo Shu

This is an exemplary piece that any Traditional School Feng Shui enthusiast will recognize and love immediately. The Turtle with the Head of the Dragon was said to have risen from the river Lo. Bringing with it the ancient secrets that would allow the great masters to unlock the secrets of Feng Shui.

The Luo Shu Turtle as it is popularly known, has been said to bring eight different types of heavenly blessings but is very attuned towards bringing wealth luck. When it is depicted with a baby as it is shown here, the wealth luck is said to be especially powerful.

Place your Luo Shu Turtle in the hall of your home, a prominent sign that is visible the moment you enter. Or if you prefer, you can place it your wealth sector where it is said to enhance the energies of that sector.

Avoid placing it in your bedroom however. The bedroom is a place of rest and may cause restlessness and lost sleep with the imbalance in yang energy that is introduced.

The Lo Shu

A mythical creature said to be blessed by Heavens, the lo shu - also known as the Dragon Head Tortoise - is a favorite symbol amongst Chinese, long believed to harvest money luck, garner high status and bring good health.

The History of the Lo Shu

Legend has it that the Dragon Head tortoise rose from the great river Lo after a giant flood. On the back of the tortoise was the magic Lo Shu squares, its secret formula later deciphered by Feng Shui masters who ushered in a new era of Feng Shui mastery. This transformed the lo shu into a heavenly and legendary creature. This Lo Shu squares or flying stars are a great source of information and wisdom and they are in which a great amount of ancient Chinese and feng shui knowledge are based on.

The Lo shu turtle symbolizes the eight different aspects of human life which the flying stars represent which are seen as blessings. Some of these blessings are protection, power, abundance and wealth. This way, the turtle and the mighty twin lo shu carries a great amount of symbolism regarding all life areas, and therefore it can help its owner improving its life in general besides than the specific areas in which it has a stronger influence.

The Lo Shu and Feng Shui

The image of this ancient Chinese animal is much sought after by enthusiasts and practitioners of Feng Shui since it is believed that placing such as item in a business or office attracts power and prosperity. It is also suitable for homes as well as for being carried as a lucky charm and helps its owner having authority and power at any moment he might need it.
